It was an honour to be invited to be a part of CNN’s first ever special program Call To Earth as members of the audience which will air on November 10th 2021 during the final week of the COP26 Summit at CNN International. Hosted at Earth Stage, Sustainability District of Expo 2020 Dubai, UAE.
Call to Earth is a special program by CNN International on November 10, 2021. In partnership with Rolex as part of their Perpetual Planet initiative, whose goal is to drive awareness, action and education around key issues, inspiring a blueprint for a more environmentally conscious life. Climate change is the biggest threat facing humanity right now due to greenhouse gases emitted by human activities causing global warming. Natural disasters, loss of biodiversity and ecosystems, altering agriculture production as ecological droughts pose a threat to food security.
The recorded program, Call to Earth November 10, 2021 discussions was split into three segments: Urban Development/Green Spaces, Food Security and Conservation. With 3 youth activists keynote speakers on stage in each segment alongside Becky Anderson, Managing Editor of CNN Abudhabi and Host of CNN Connect Director. Joined by two honourable panelists that took the stage, Her Excellency Razan Al Mubarak, the Managing Director of the Environment Agency Abu Dhabi, and the Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund as well as the current president of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and Emirates Nature – WWF. And Erika Cuéllar, Conservation Biologist, Guardian of South America’s Gran Chaco. Connect with Nature UAE Youth Ambassadors and president of Emirates Nature-WW. Call To Earth event is filled with engaging and educational climate change discussions with honourable panelists and keynote speakers championing change through innovative solutions, including youth activists and school kids across the world. CNN’s Call To Earth is committed to promote Climate Action projects by engaging people across the world to participate through TV and social media features on November 10, 2021 using the hashtag #CallToEarth.
